Joyce was born into a family rich in generations of artists and architects and was encouraged to pursue her artistic passions from an early age.
The landscape remains a great focus of her life, and hiking, climbing and traveling throughout the United States, Western Europe and the Hawaiian Islands has inspired Joyce to create her colorful landscape paintings and pastels.
She also has a love of teaching and has worked with all ages. Joyce has taught elementary, high school, and currently is teaching drawing, mosaics, crafts and art education at California State University Pomona.
Joyce Hesselgrave now lives in Claremont, California with her artist husband, Gary Geraths, and their three children.
